Important Notice
Due to a clash with in the Colwyn Bay Festival week and potential use of club greens, the league will now commence on the 9th April instead of the 16th April as originately set up. Cup games will continue as per the fixture dates. The 30th July is now a free evening for people to attend the Festival. The committee are apologetic for this change but feel that the Festival should take priority over our league fixtures.
Mon 26th JanChairmans Pairs Competition
This years competition will be played at Min y Don and was due to be played on 9th and 16th August. But due to the Chairmans green not being available on the 16th August we will have to bring the two competition days forward to the 2nd and 9th of August. To allow the fixtures secretary to be able to carry out the draw for these dates we must change the closing date for entries from 31st July to 24th July to give ample time to inform competitors of the dates of their games. Remember that clubs can either opt in or opt out of the comp. But the fixture secretary needs to be informed before the closing date. This action is unfortunate but is beyond our control.

Please note that currently there are nearly 150 players registered in the league database with NO CLUBS, meaning they are not registered team players for any club within the League either now or through the course of last season; in order to clean up the database, these players will be deleted 1 week after the start of the new season; clearly this will not affect any teams whose players are registered to play which should have been completed prior to the first league game.

Change of venue for A Division League Cup match 13 April between Bettwys n rhos and Dyserth A now at Rhyl
Fri 16th JanFollowing on from the introduction of the 2026 Fixtures on the MB Bowls website, I have been informed that the following 3 greens will be used in the Colwyn Bay Festival on 30th July 2026. Min y Don, Mochdre and RhosPark.
The inclusion of this date into this years fixtures was to try and avoid clashes at the end of the season with other leagues merit fixtures and WCGBA fixtures.
The fixture for all divisions will stand on that date, however as Min y Don, Mochdre and RhosPark have home matches on that date a 3 week grace period will be allowed for them to rearrange the fixture.
Any team wishing to postpone their fixture ( with agreement of opposition ) to attend the Colwyn Bay Festival will have 2 weeks to rearrange as per Rule 15.
15) LEAGUE MATCH FIXTURES:All Match fixtures shall be binding on allteams.Any team wishing to attend the Colwyn Bay Festival Game may re-arrange their game to a date agreed between the 2 Captains. The new date will be at any time before or within 14 days after the scheduled date.
I hope this clears up any queiries regarding this fixture.

Thu 11th Dec 2025
Please note that a revised copy of the League Constitution & Rules (as ammended by the membership at the VOC AGM held on the 4th December 2025) is now live on this website; it can be accessed by clicking the bottom tab on the left hand side of this webpage. There are important ammendments relating to match play, therefore to avoid infringements which may have a negative impact on team scores, and incur club financial penalties, it is advisable that Team Captains have familiarised themselves with these ammendments; new Team Captains, especially, need to be aware of the rules of the game, and Club Management are advised to ensure they have indicated this to them in the first instance.
