LAWS OF CROWN GREEN BOWLS
There is a new page on this site called "BCGBA LAWS OF THE GAME" and I would encourage all players to read these as I have come across many people who do not know some of these rules and in fact make up their own rules. It is also printable so you can keep it handy for any disputes.
IMPORTANT NOTICE - GOSHAWK CLUB
NO Food or any drinks whatsoever are to be consumed at the pub unless purchased in the Pub.
Entries Invited - Frank Edwardson Merit (Div 2/3 only)
Entries invited for the Frank Edwardson Merit Qualifiers on Wednesday 2nd July. No league games that night so we can encourage more entries this year. Its only £5 to enter plus £1 greenage. Last 8 will play off on Sunday 6th July 1pm onwards. Could clubs please publicise and check entry sheets if on club notice board. Last years comp will not be run in 2025 due to time & diary constraints. The 2025 Comp will be run in August.
Team Cup Draws Round of 16 - Green Changes
Helsby D v RWMC is now at Kingswood due to an error putting game at Hazel Pear where Helsby played in the previous round.
Halton RBL B v Castle Park A will now be on Hazel Pear due to state of Pavilions No 2
IMPORTANT NOTICE
Chetwode Arms green is now closed and the team has moved to Hazel Pear in Acton Bridge. The team will be renamed "Hazel Pear"
PLAYER REGISTRATION NUMBERS
Please can all secretaries check that every player has a registration number for BCGBA (Usually Starts CH or LAD) and Cheshire (Starts CC) and that the numbers are input for your teams.
STRICT DRESS CODE APPLIES IN THE FOLLOWING COMPS
League Merit & Pairs Final days, Team Comp Finals.
(Black, Dark Grey or Navy Trousers, Polo Top or Other Collared Shirt; No shorts unless 22 degrees celsius or more)
