Sadly Ladies I have to inform you of the passing of Margaret Aspinall a lady bowler who played for The War Memorial Ladies team and then moved to Pavilions when they disbanded. Margaret was the Ladies League Results Secretary for many years. The team Captains would send her their weekly hand-written results sheets. She would collate the teams, players and scores. She would then get the information to the Runcorn Weekly News Office for inclusion in Thursdays edition. Very old school - no computers or iPhones!! ( many thanks to Sue Lee for this information).

The Funeral and Celebration of Margarets Life is to be held on Thursday Sept 11th at 10.45 at St Michael's Church, Greenway Road. Committal at Walton Lea Crematorium, followed by 'A gathering to share memories of our lovely Mum at The Golf Club, Clifton Road, Runcorn. All are welcome'
