Fri 30th MayThe finals of the Abel Cup took place at Overton last night and after some excellent bowling from all of the players it was Paula Whelan from the United Services Club who won by beating Mark Furber 21/18 in an excellent game. Congratulations to Paula on her win. I'd like to thank the Overton club for their help and support particularly Colin for assisting with measuring and Phil who prepared the green up to an including the last 20 mins before we started. Many thanks to the supporters who also assisted with the running of the finals.
We have had a total of forty six entries this year and I'd like to thank you all for supporting the competition. Thanks also to all the clubs and supporters who made it all possible by hosting qualifiers, sending through results and marking and measuring the games.
