Thank you Llanfairpwll and Rhos Park for hosting the semi finals and to all 8 of our clubs, who at some point by calls, messages or having a conversation while leaning on a post at a match have helped us to organise this years
Round Robin Semi Final - Each team will play 1 dbles and 2 singles against each of the other 2 teams. You will decide which team you want your players to play against. There will be 4pts available per match. 2 for dbls and 1 each for sgls. Each team can score a maximum of 8pts after playing both teams. The team with the least points will go out. Here is the order of play which will provide a clearer picture.

G2 dbl (j) Bethesda v PG
G3 dbl (j) PG V Beaumaris
2nd set of games
G4 sgl (j) Bethesda v Beaumaris
G5 sgl (j) PG V Bethesda
G6 sgl (j) Beaumaris v PG
3rd set of games
G7 sgl (j) PG v Bethesda
G8 sgl (j) Beaumaris v PG
G9 sgl (j) Bethesda V Beaumaris
The Js denote who has the Jack.
Draw
Captains write on your cards the corresponding game number above, Dbls or sgls and opposing team. So if you are Beamaris you will have cards with game number 1, 3, 4,,6,8,9 (6 games) and on game one write in which dbls pairing you want to play against Bethesda and on game 3 which pairing will play against PG.
A share of 12 points are being played for but only a maximum of 8 for any team so 5 guarantees qualification but remember 2nd place will qualify for next Tuesdays final.
Sat 31st May
Ian Lawley Presidents Cup starts Tuesday 10th June
3 week group phase,
Semi Final 1st July
Final 8th July
Fixtures will be available at conclusion of 1st half of league fixtures.
All cup matches will start at 6.30 - No practice
All 4 teams in each group will play at one venue each week, using the same format played in last years final.
There will be 3 group phase match nights therefore 3 of the 4 teams will be the host club and play one match at home.
The team ranked highest by league position will not be a host club and not have a home match, nor will they play against a host club.
A host club will play one home game, one match against a host club and one neutral fixture.
Top 2 in each group will qualify for Semi final A on 1st July
Bottom 2 teams will qualify for Semifinal B on 1st July
Match Night
Team 1 plays Team 2 and Team 3 plays Team 4
Each match consists of 4 singles and 2 doubles.
2 Jacks from each match start the game, 1 Doubles and 1 singles. 4 jacks will be on the green
First Jack completed from either game is replaced by the 2nd doubles match
Every Jack thereafter is replaced by the 3 remaining singles games
2 points for each doubles win, 1 point for the singles, 1 point for the aggregate. Therefore 5 points are required to win a match but 9 points available to help your league position
League positions decided points only
Good luck to you all, both in the matches and grasping the format.
As there will only be 2 venues each week, both myself and Andy will be available to answer any queries plus I will confirm with Captains when the fixtures are available that we are all set.
Fixture will be live Wed 4th/ Thur 5th June
