On Thursday 4th September 2025 Crossens Bowling Club held the SDLBL Autumn Pairs Competition. Despite the rainy forecast 29 pairs entered the competition, we welcomed members from Ainsdale, Banks, Botanic, Crossens, Hesketh Arms, Mere Brow and Victoria Park. There were some very close games throughout the day. The semi-finals were between Sue Mountford & Sheila Mo v Carol Wilson & Debbie Herold and Ellen Crowshaw & Marlene Dobb v Karen Holding & Paula Milnes. Both semi-finals were very close but Sue & Sheila and Karen & Paula won through to play in the final which was excellent. Karen and Paula lead most of the game but Sue & Sheila fought back and won 21-20. Congratulations to Sue Mountford and Sheila Mo our 2025 Autumn Pairs winners. Congratulations to all our competitors some of which were new bowlers from some clubs competing for the first time. Thank you to Crossens for hosting a wonderful day.
